For the Spring 2024 semester, Muckykids Art Studio offer a variety of classes for kids aged 6 – 12. Class series consist of six weekly sessions. Sessions run for 2 hours, as noted in the class descriptions. All classes run for six weeks.

Artist Books (9 – 12 yr.)

Three Muckykids Favorites (Ages 6-8) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
There are three themes for this last semester: symmetry, stitching, and bookmaking. We will play with bilateral and radial symmetry by way of fold paintings, mandalas, mirror drawings, and temporary sculptures. Stitching will include making a sewing pattern for a stuffie! And our bookmaking will include an envelope book, a book of drawing & watercolor experiments, and a book of books :)

Artist Books (Ages 9-12) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
For this final semester at Muckykids, we will savor our time together making books. Within the bookmaking format, we will take a deep-dive into colorful and creative content, including paper marbling, collage, hand lettering, tie-dye paper, and experiments with watercolor. We will also make an animated book, a book with pages that unfold open (?) and a book with re-arrangeable pages. Really fun and exciting stuff!!!!
