For the Spring 2023 semester, Muckykids Art Studio offers a variety of classes for kids aged 18 months through 12 years. Class series consist of six weekly sessions. Sessions run anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, as noted in the class descriptions. The Spring 2023 semester starts May 1st. All classes run for six weeks.

Art and Sensory Play with Backyartists (18 mo – 4 yr.)

Art and Sensory Play with Backyartists (Ages 18 mo – 4 yrs) – 45 minutes x 6 weeks
Let two experienced early childhood educators engage your toddlers and preschool aged children in art and sensory play during our weekly Backyartists Playgroup. Nicole and Rachel, owners of Backyartists, LLC, will sing songs, read a story, and invite children to explore process art and sensory play activities. Sculpture (Ages 6-8) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
Over the course of this dynamic 6 weeks, we will focus on various forms of sculpture, building techniques, and manipulating 2D materials into 3D objects. We will look at additive and reductive forms of sculpture and play with kinetic vs. static sculpture. Some of the materials we will sculpt with are wood, spray-painted papers, rocks, air-dry clay, flanged cardboard, paper, and upcycled supplies. Our projects will take inspiration from past and contemporary sculptors such as Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, Andy Goldsworthy and Tara Donovan.2hrs x 6 weeks | drop-off | $315.00
