Art Explorations (Ages 3+4) – 1 hr. x 8 weeks
In this class, 3 and 4 year olds will be encouraged to engage, explore, and experiment with a wide variety of craft supplies. We’ll collage, sculpt beads, play with color mixing, make prints, and craft paper dolls, but the focus will be on process over product; children at this age are very process oriented and this class is designed to nurture and encourage their art explorations.

Science Studio (Ages 5-7) – 1.25 hr. x 8 weeks
In Science Studio, we apply the Muckykids philosophy of hands-on, experiential, child-centered learning to science! Kids’ preconceptions about the physical world will be challenged as they experiment, observe, collect data and generate theories. Our inquiry-based approach to science will include concepts of states of matter, molecules, potential and kinetic energy, magnetism, and electricity.

A few of the activities will be:

  • Making and implementing a desktop catapult
  • Exploring the physical properties of polymers, such as water spheres and balloons
  • Exploring circuitry

The class size will be small and there will be two instructors for plenty of hands-on attention.
