Mixed Media for 9-11s: Section 1 (Early Fall 2020)

Mixed Media (Ages 9-11) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
In this class we will explore some of the many ways art mediums can be combined. Throughout the 6 week semester, the multi-layered projects will include gelatin printing and stenciling techniques, collage, fiber arts, painting with gouache, and experimenting with various drawing mediums. We will stencil a personalized corkboard and embellish the pushpins. We will make a woven piece using yarn, printed papers, & hand painted beads. We will make tape and fabric pouches, paint on fabric, and collage ‘polaroid’ pictures. We will also do a bit of embroidery. Enrollment is limited to 7.
