Art and Craft for Play: Collaborative Construction Edition (Ages 6-8) – 2 hrs x 6 weeks
In this class we will collaborate to build and ‘inhabit’ a city, with 3D miniatures as the main theme. Recycle craft with lots of hot glue and tape will prevail, tho we will also represent our city in 2D form. We will build and print with collagraph plates, craft quilted buildings, and draw blueprints and maps. Other activities will include making cork and clothespin people, crafting delivery trucks & goods, and decorating the apartments and shops that make up the city. We’ll even have an art museum! This is very much a child-directed class with emergent curriculum at its heart. Enrollment limited to 8 per section.
