Drop-In activities for Feb 17 – 22 (Open all week!)

Drop-In Studio activities for February 17 – 22: Drop-In is open all week, Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm — come spend some of February break with us in the studio! This week we have a neat sculpture activity. Using paper strips, hole punches, paper fasteners, tape, wire, string and more create a hanging sculpture/mobile. (For the older crowd I have leather strips that we can drill into and embellish with the paper fasteners – very cool cuff bracelets!) You can create another 3D piece of art with cornstarch builders… just dab the pieces onto a damp cloth and stick them together. At the back tables we’re dressing paper dolls with decorative papers, sticky gems, ribbons, feathers and lots more. At the sensory table there is slime to play with. At the easel wall, tempera paint. At the paint table we have colored ice cubes, bleeding tissue paper and gorgeous watercolor paper – I can’t wait to see the results over the course of the week!! There are also bottles of colored glue for squirting and swirling colors together.
