Drop-In Activities for August 12 – 24

Drop-In Activities for August 12 – 24: This week we are decorating magnets! Peel off the white paper to expose the adhesive side of the magnet and decorate with lots of gems, googly eyes, decorative papers, and more. We have a glue and nature activity on the front table using sticks, small stones, fabric flowers and colored glue on cardboard. The sensory table has clay with dinos and diggers to play with. At the paint table we are printing with various objects. The easel wall has brush painting with tempera paints. We also have a fun sculpture activity using foam pieces and wires to build with and colorful beads, paper shapes, pompoms and paper straws to embellish with. The marble run is still on the back wall to play with and add to. The back bench has recycle craft set up.

With the move into a new space we are starting some new traditions and ways of doing things. Most exciting is that drop in is now six days a week, Monday to Saturday! And the sets of drop-in activities will be out for 2 weeks, instead of one. This will allow for a deeper exploration of the materials and the processes we use to explore them with – two of the things we love most at Muckykids!!
